I purchased human hair extensions about a few weeks ago. I had them installed and they are not the quality stated so I had to take them out. I ask the vendor to return them for a refund and he stated federal law prohibits the return or resale of human hair products that have been used.
This makes sense but when I asked for proof of this from the vendor, he couldn't supply it so I wanted to know where I can find this or related info.
Thanks!Where is the law that states you can't resale used human hair extensions?
There are many ';health';laws that prohibit the return of personal items, like bathing suits. I doubt there is any justification health wise, but these laws protect the dealers and operators from taking returns they probably could not resell.
Look at the beauty shop regulations for your state and you can probably find lots of stuff.Where is the law that states you can't resale used human hair extensions?
You may have an argument about quality. If what you bought is not what you were TOLD you were getting (and you'd need proof of that), he is responsible for replacing it with the correct product. You don't really care what he does with the old set. If that means he loses the value of them because he cannot resell them, that's not your problem.
If you bought something and just THOUGHT they were better quality than they were, you are out of luck. Federal Law or not (and I think it's more likely to be State Health law), he has a right to refuse to take back used product.
