i dyed my hair black almost 2 months ago (its naturally medium brown) i bought the black extensions to match, because i cut my hair pretty short and wanted 18'' hair.. they were $100 but now i want to do my hair lighter, is it possible to dye the extensions? i dont want them to go to waste and i dont want black hair anymoreIs it possible to dye black human hair extensions a light brown color?
Are they clip on? double hair? individual bonds? In order to get black out of the hair, you will need to bleach them first. If they are individual bonds, I would do a test bond first with 20-30 volume bleach (depending what level you want to lift them to) so you can see the outcome before you do them all. Is there any way you can send them back?Is it possible to dye black human hair extensions a light brown color?
You have to bleach the hair first, and then dye it.
**Edit**
You have to bleach it. I tried dying my hair brown before (it's black) but it didn't show up. But, my cousin, who has dark brown/black hair dyed her hair a reddish color before and it showed up well. Maybe you should test it on a small piece of the hair.
hiya rule of thumb with extensions is to always dye darker otherwise most brands will go dry and frazzle. there is only one brand i have used which lets me dye the hair lighter without turning to mush. (the brand was nature grace and they start at just $36!) but i have only tried to dye dark brown to light brown, which worked fine, i have never tried lightening black. So if i were u i would lighten my own hair and buy some new extensions to match.
You'd have to bleach it first, Since the hair is Black, Lighter colors won't show up.
They will dye just liek your own hair and it is a good way to find out if they really are organic hair!
You need to bleach it first, then dye it.
WELL I THINK SO....SO IF I WAS U I WOULD TRY IT IN A SMALL PART RIGHT AT THE TOP....
AND WHAT I WOULD DO IS BLEACH THEM,THEN ADD THE COLOR U WANT....
